Getting Started

Welcome to BetterFlex! This help center provides information on how to use our platform effectively.

Account Setup

  1. Login: Use your Google account to log in to BetterFlex
  2. Profile: Complete your profile information when prompted
  3. Preferences: Set your preferences to personalize your experience

Navigation

The main dashboard provides access to all features:

  • Calendar: View and manage your schedule
  • Activities: Browse and create activities
  • Ask Maggie: Communicate with AI to help you with questions regarding Flex.

Using Maggie AI Assistant

Maggie is your AI assistant designed to help with various tasks.

How to Use Maggie

  • Type your question or request in the chat box
  • Be specific with your questions for better results
  • Use natural language - Maggie understands conversational requests

What Maggie Can Help With

  • Answering questions about school activities
  • Providing information about schedules
  • Helping with general inquiries
  • Guiding you through platform features

Limitations

  • Maggie cannot access or modify your personal information
  • Responses are generated based on available data
  • For urgent matters, please contact staff directly

Activities

Browsing Activities

  • Click on any activity to view details
  • Edit information, like description, title, category, etc.

Signing Up

  1. Navigate to the activity on the student-side
  2. Click the "Join Activity" button
  3. See the joined Flex populated at the top

Canceling Registration

  1. Go to "Flex" in your dashboard
  2. Find the activity you wish to cancel
  3. Click "Leave Flex"

Calendar

Viewing Your Schedule

  • Toggle between day, week, and month views
  • Activities you've not assigned a Flex for will appear on your calendar with a red dot
  • Click on the Flex period to see details

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Login Problems

  • Ensure you're using the correct Google account
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies
  • Try using a different browser

Notification Issues

  • Check your email notification settings
  • Ensure your email address is correct
  • Check your spam/junk folder
